In order to improve our service to you, the community of online forest activists, we would like to learn more about issues of concern to you, and to have your input on some planned additions and improvements to this website.
To facilitate your input into the campaign, we have set up a special survey for you to fill out. It only takes 5 minutes, and you will automatically be entered in a raffle to WIN a $150 gift certificate to a major national outdoor equipment retailer!!! (retailer will be our choice - read below for Raffle Rules)
How Do I Take the Survey?
Simply click here to go to our survey, administered by Zoomerang (www.zoomerang.com), a survey clearinghouse. If you do not want to respond to this survey, you are not required to. When responding to the survey, you should try to answer each question to the best of your ability. If you don't understand a question, just skip it and move on to the next one.
What Issues Concern You?
We all agree that our last remaining wild forests should be preserved for future generations, but what other environmental issues do you think deserve top priority? What issues do you want to take action on? What issues do you want to learn more about? We want to know!
Upcoming Additions and Improvements to Our Website
We have several ideas about new services we can provide at OurForests.org, and we would love to know what you think would be most useful to you. Would you visit an online bulletin board? Would you like to help moderate an online discussion? Would you like more information about local environmental groups in your area? We need your feedback so we can use our resources most effectively!
Raffle Rules: No Purchase Necessary!
All you have to do is be a member of the OurForests.org email list (sign up at our website), and FILL OUT OUR SURVEY to enter the contest to win a $150 GIFT CERTIFICATE from a major outdoor equipment retailer (retailer will be our choice) . The deadline for raffle entries is 1 pm PST, September 22, 2000. We will select a winner at random and notify him or her by email during the week of Monday, September 25, 2000. OurForests Survey Raffle Official Rules
1. How to Enter - No Purchase Necessary!
Only current members of the OurForests.org email list are being requested to fill out a survey for a chance to win. Follow directions listed on the Survey Page on the OurForests.org website (OurForests.org/survey/survey.htm), or listed in the Survey email that list members received.
2. Deadline.
The deadline for entry is 9/22/00 at 1pm PT. No submission will be accepted after the deadline for any reason. OurForests.org assumes no responsibility for lost, late, misdirected, or illegible entries, or for any computer, online, network, telephone or technical malfunctions that may occur.
3. Prize and Odds.
$150 Gift Certificate to major national outdoor equipment retailer (retailer will be our choice); Odds of winning depend on number of entries. Entry distribution: Approximately 150,000. No substitution or transfer of prize. Taxes are winner's responsibility. This prize is not a donation from any business and does not represent an endorsement of this campaign by anyone.
4. Participation.
Sweepstakes begins 1pm PT on 9/8/00, ends 1pm PT on 9/22/00, and is open to legal residents of the US, 18 or older, except employees and their immediate families/households of OurForests.org, Technology Project, Heritage Forests Campaign and its affiliates. Subject to all applicable laws. Limit 1 entry per person, per e-mail address. Void in PR, outside the US, and where prohibited.
5. Selection of Winner.
Winner will be selected at random on or about 9/25/00 and will be notified by e-mail during the week of 9/25/00. No responsibility is assumed for lost, late, or misdirected entries, or any computer, online, network or telecommunications problems. Raffle materials void if incomplete, not legible, or if they contain errors. Judges' decisions are final. Entrants agree to be bound by these rules. Prize winner must accept his/her prize within ten (10) days of prize notification. Prize winner may be asked to sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability Release, and where lawful, a Publicity Release for use of his/her name, likeness or voice for publicity purposes by OurForests.org without further consideration, within ten (10) days of notification. (Tennessee residents need not complete and return a publicity release.) If a selected winner cannot be contacted, is ineligible, fails to accept the prize or fails to return the requested documents, the selected winner will forfeit his/her prize and an alternate winner will be selected. Return of any prize notification as undeliverable may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner. By accepting prize, the winner agrees to release OurForests.org from any and all liability for injuries and/or damages of any kind sustained in connection with the prize. For the name of the prize winner, send a stamped, self-addressed envelope to: Winner-OurForests.org Survey Raffle, Suite 210, 2100 L Street, NW, Washington DC 20037 by 9/29/00.
