Idaho Governor's Petition Leaves State's Roadless Areas at Risk
Governor Jim Risch (R-Idaho) submitted a petition to the Bush administration on September 20, 2006 that would open up the majority of Idaho's last wild forests to commercial development. Risch is the first governor not to support full protection for his state's roadless areas. For details, read HFC's press release.
